Therapeutic Relaxation Massage
If you want to de-stress, relax, and experience a holistic massage using organic jojoba oil...
At either 60 min or 90 min, we will first have a discussion about what has been going on with your body, and what your goals are for the session. If you are coming in for a routine wellness visit, with no specific issues, you might want a full body balancing massage. If you have an acute issue, I can spend the session focused on 2-3 areas. This is YOUR session, and will be guided by you. I want you to get exactly what you need.
Neuromuscular Therapy Session
If you recovering from an injury, struggling with chronic pain, or dealing with an acute injury...
This form of bodywork, also know as NMT, is a comprehensive program of soft tissue manipulation techniques that balance the central nervous system (brain, spinal column and nerves) with the structure and form of the musculoskeletal system. In an NMT session, there is a lot of communication between practitioner and client, and I will be checking in frequently about pressure, location and sensation. This work can be more strenuous than a relaxation massage, but it can have profound results in decreasing pain, and allowing the body to return to homeostasis.
Certified Prenatal Massage
Welcome at any stage of your pregnancy! In June 2015, Sandra became a Certified Prenatal Bodyworker at Touch for Birth. At your first session, they will conduct a thorough intake to ensure that you are safe, comfortable, and addressing any issues that are affecting you during your pregnancy. With the aid of a semi-reclining table, an abundance of pillows, and an educated, confident technique, you will feel the numerous benefits of receiving massage as part of your emotional and physical prenatal care. Sandra is available to discuss any questions or concerns your may have.
Thai Table Massage
If you want to increase your range of motion, flexibility, and feel a sense of balance in your body...
Thai massage is said to have been developed over 2,500 years ago in Northern India by the physician to the Buddha, a man named Shivago Komarpaj. In this form, the client and practitioner wear loose and comfortable clothing, and the massage is performed either on a mat on the floor, or on the table. I perform the sessions on the table. The firm but meditative movements of pressing, rocking, and yoga-like positions, have a distinctive quality. There is no prior knowledge of yoga necessary to experience this ancient art form. The goal of Thai massage is to remove blockages and allow energy to move more freely throughout the body. Learn about Thai Massage.
